The Martinez
Gallery is a contemporary art gallery focusing mostly, but not
exclusively, on Latino and Latin American art.
Many of the
Gallery's artists are well-established and internationally known.
They are highly accomplished and critically acclaimed, although not
necessarily famous. As a result, their works represent an assurance
of excellent quality and good value. In particular, the market for
Latino and Latin American art, while receiving increasing attention
from all sectors, is still undervalued, offering outstanding
opportunities for growth and investment.
The artists the
Gallery represents have a strong record of gallery exhibitions here
and abroad. Their works have been acquired for the permanent
collections of museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the
Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), El Museo del Barrio, Museo del Arte
Contemporaneo in Puerto Rico, Museo de Arte Moderno in Bogota,
National Museum of Ceramics in Athens, Greece; National Museum of
Art at the Smithsonian; Museum of Fine Arts in Houston; and many
other museums worldwide. These artists’ works are also found in
corporate and in important private collections.
Occasionally, the
Gallery will exhibit the work of an emerging artist whose work is
considered significant and compelling. |
